This hostel is a friendly, clean and secure place to stay. The hostel is located just across the road from a nice park and next door to a convenience store. It's a good 20 min walk at least to most of the attractions/hot spots, which was a little annoying at times. Other than that it's not a bad place to stay. It's too bad you guys don't allow alcohol on the premises though!

The only hitch was the great numbers of wasps we had to shoo away carefully from food; the breakfast provided would be satisfactory for most people, but I really could only eat the fresh oranges and some coffee. It would be helpful to those of us who cannot eat grains and sugars to have alternatives we can eat, such as cheese, natural yogurt, honey, more fruit, eggs.

Our stay was wonderful; love all the effort put into making the place feel like a French country home, especially the covered terrace. This was a nice place to spend our honeymoon!

This hostel was great! Overall clean and had nice touches like sink in room and reading lights for each bed--made it much easier to get ready for bed when someone else was already asleep! Good location, walking distance to the Latin Quarter which has tons of restaurants and the metro. Very secure--hostel is locked 24 hours a day. FYI, the free breakfast is just bread and jam. Only minor complaint: We paid for a four person room and one night a fifth person got put in a rollaway. Made for cozy quarters! Overall I highly recommend this hostel!

The hostel was good, very intimate. My only complaint was that the staff slept in the common area, so after 11pm there was nowhere we could hang out, as often people in our bedroom were already sleeping. The rules of the hostel basically dictate that if you are in that hostel anytime after 11pm, you must be silent in your room, which was not outlined in the hostel desciption I recieved prior to my stay.

It was my first time in a hostel... I was a little affraid because of some comments I read about cleanliness, security and "mood" of the staff in hostels in general... But this hostel is really the opposite of everythng I read! Very clean, very kind and helpful staff and secure... Going to Montreal? You can stay there and you won't regret it! ;-)

I was only there for one night so it was hard to get a good feel for the place, but overall it was an okay place to stay. I don\'t recommend walking to the hostel if you have a ton of luggage to carry as it\'s a good 15-20 min walk UPHILL from the bus station, but the location itself is nice enough and safe too. There\'s a kitchen to cook your own meals (even though I didn\'t use it) and a common room to meet people which was cool. While it\'s not the worst place to stay in Montreal, there are definitely other hostels that rank higher in my books.
