I really enjoyed my short stay at the Jazz hostel. The only bad thing was that I had to move rooms twice due to the reservation through hostel world. Maike, from Germany ~ 6th Nov 2009

I`m sorry to say that i didn`t enjoy my stay at this hostel at all. The staff were nice but told us conflicting information about breakfasts. It was very dirty both in the rooms and especially the communal kitchen. And the worst part was the ridiculous heat of the dormitories with no ventilation, and the beds felt like they were about to fall apart. Read Owner Comments Rohane, from England ~ 6th Oct 2009

Facilities: This place was immaculate and well-furnished. Importantly, the bathrooms were always clean. The outside area has a fantastic deck. Also, while it’s a social place, the layout made it easy to sleep quietly. Location: Nothing felt like it was more than a 15-20 minute hike away. The nearest metro stop (which connects to three lines) is a couple blocks down. It’s also in the middle of gorgeous, lively Latin Quarter Staff: The staff is always numerous Read Owner Comments Justin, from USA ~ 26th Sep 2009

Le Jazz St. Denis is a very recommended hostel! I spent there 5 days and it was just great. Staff is more than friendly, rooms are very clean and enough even for 2 suitcases each guest ;) location is top, its latin corner, lots of bars and restaurants there, not far away from old montreal and the mont royal. In one word: PERFECT Read Owner Comments Martin, from Germany ~ 16th Sep 2009

Of all the hostels that I have ever stayed in, Le Jazz St. Denis is by far my favorite. I found the setting, staff and atmosphere of the place simply charming and welcoming. The staff were always ready and willing to go the extra mile to ensure a pleasurable Montreal experience. Sara, from Canada ~ 3rd Sep 2009

The building is beautiful, lots of character. We only had one night in a private room with shared bath, but lucked out in that we were the only ones using the bathroom for that night. Just the right amount of space. The private room, to our surprise, also had a small fridge and a TV, with a DVD player you could rent from the reception. It is certainly a place to go back to and is highly recommended to others. Read Owner Comments Jennifer, from Canada ~ 10th Aug 2009

This place had amazing charm and character. I absolutely loved the back area with the outdoor tables and the lounge with the leopard print couch. Wonderful. There was trouble with the key to our room and we couldn't get in, but they very willingly refunded our money. Make sure to check your key before you use it. Very nice, clean, beautiful bathrooms. Normal, clean room with bunk beds. Very friendly accommodating staff. Mia, from USA ~ 28th Jul 2009
