I stayed at this hostel for 3 nights and it was the worst place ever! The rooms were extremely small, little more room than a train cabin, I could touch the other bunk from the top of mine without over reaching. The bathroom was tiny, with cockroaches! and the shower was a push knob which you had to push every 15 sec to keep on. The water was also freezing for all 3 days, no matter what time of day I took my shower. There was also a WC in the hall that was little more than a privy and it reeked! The hostel was extremely dirty! We booked a room for two with private bathroom. The shower was full of hair and dirt was everywhere. It was completely disgusting. There was literally NO value for money as the paintings of the wall gave the impression to be eaten up soon by grey horse. The floor of the room gave the impression to have forgotten what a broom looks like. It was a highly expensive and uncomfortable stay. DO NOT book. The first room I stayed in was the 8-bed dorm. I think the walls are covered in black mold... might want to look into that. Also, in the big rooms are those stupid push knob showers, but at least this place has some kind of temperature control. Breakfast is pretty nice, croissants and rolls and cereal. The room and the locations were good, very close to the metro station in a safe region. But we could hear all the time the doors of the other rooms banging and waking us in the middle of the night coz the walls were very thin. And keeping pressing the showers buttons is annoying too. Location is great, right by the metro stop not busy area. Rooms are fair size with a sink. Breakfast in morning is nice, traditional european breakfast. Bathroom and shower left alot to be desired. Staff was quite accomodating and very friendly. Didn't spend too much time here overall, and the value is about a 6.5 to 7 out of 10. Bear in mind, paris is expensive no matter what. The location and the staff are great, but by some means the hot water was not available when I stayed there and it was a bit of a challenge to take a shower in the end of October.
