  • I stayed 6 nights and found the staff was pretty cool, super happy about the high quality of security, the cleaning ladies were doing a great job, Love the beach cruisers were safe to ride (bad experiences in other countries) and the prices were fair. If I could change anything I wish the rooms were larger and traffic was not so loud but it was still good. Loved the location, beach was 1 block and food everywhere. The area is safe too. Thanks Lemon Spirit :-)

Had the best time of my life there! Rodrigo in the bar, Natalia, Lucas and Dia in the reception. All some of the best people I've met! Go to lemon spirit travelers! You won't regret! Best neighborhood in Rio and close to the beach and parties! All my best to the peps at Lemon!

  • I spent my first time in Rio here at Lemon for 10 days and had the time of my life. The staff are very welcoming and friendly for solo travelers. The place is very well kept and the numerous choices of bathrooms are always sanitary. The hostel makes all accomodations for you if you want to see any tourist destination for the first time or even set cabs for airport transfers. The bartender Rodrigo is the best and makes a great friend while your here. Choose LEMON SPIRIT!

  • Location was right on Leblon, two or three blocks from the beach, so getting to other neighborhoods like Copacabana and Ipanema was very easy. Atmosphere was good. They organized excursions during the day and pub crawls at night. The only downside is when the manager stopped us from playing drinking games after 11PM Monday night.

  • Smoke smoke smoke! Every night every morning!!! It's in the stairwell, comes into your window because they smoke right underneath it. Smoke saturates the downstairs... Had an asthma attack and actually left the hostel just to avoid smoke...Hated it!!! Bathrooms were really clean and the beds were ok. Rooms are super small for trying to get to your things...

  • Love the outdoor spaces, nice clean bathrooms, friendly staff and location near the beach. Only things I could critique are lack of mugs (tried to make tea one evening with no cups to microwave), wifi is a bit spotty at times, and maybe a little upkeep- place to put toiletries in shower, my door knob kept falling off, lock to storage area under my bed was broken, etc. overall a wonderful experience!
