very quiet - not so good for the solo traveller

Just outside walls of Lucca, but only 5 mins walk in - lovely old building and room on vaulted cellar. Breakfasts available, but no washing clothes, cooking or internet facilities. Hardly saw staff; very peaceful.

It is great but not if you are looking for a hostel to meet people and have fun. it is a lot of older people

This was a great little hostel run by the church I believe. The people were very nice and easy to deal with, and it's right near the town wall, not more than 5 minutes.

The dorm room are in the basement, with a strange collection of beds and a shower that smells. The hotel above may be nice but absolutely no atmosphere.

The woman at the front desk was so nice and helpful. She checked us in, helped with our italian, and prepared our breakfast. The hostel was so cute and super nice. Would highly recommend!

This place from the outside looked great until we went to step inside and met the lady at the desk who was very rude from the start. There was never anyone at the reception desk.On the day we were leaving we asked her if she could order a taxi for us, she slammed the door in our faces and told us that it is not her job to do so. Make your own mind up on whether you would want to stay there.

15 minutes! You will need to allow a good 30 minutes to walk from the train station. The lady who welcomed us was anything but, she was just plain rude each time we had to deal with her. After checking in and being yelled at I really just wanted to check out. Room was nice and location was OK for Lucca town and bus station but not for the train station. I would not recommend this place at all.

I waited a long time upon arrival and then had to call, via mobile (which is expensive when you are travelling in a foreign country!) for the Signora to let me in! busy she insisted I confirmed all details later that evening, it meant I could go straight out in to the city, although I am not to sure if then having to wait and check in late evening was favourable!
