Great place to stay, staff are really friendly and its pennies aswell so you cant complain. Pitty Ciaro is a dump though! Go to Dahab!@

I was reserved about staying here because of the mixed reviews, but I found the staff to be incredibly kind, efficient, honest and helpful. They helped me buy a phone card, taught me some Arabic and we had some wonderful conversations about Egyptian society. The other hostel frequenters were very international and fun. The hostel is in a major shopping district so the people-watching is excellent from the balcony. It is fairly clean and very secure.

Lialy hostel is the best place to stay in cairo. location is great, right in the heart of the city near metro and train and always taxis passing by. From the small balcony you can watch the buzzling city. Lialy is clean, has a more then friendly staff led by Mustafa. They can, and will help you with everything, not just your travelplans. I recommend Lialy to everyone visiting Cairo. you can\'t get any better, unless you have the finances to stay at the Hilton;)

we resrved for a double bed private 6 week in advance. we got a twin bed and when we complain they answer us \"you are so lucky to get a room\" was 11 pm so no much possibilitties to chanfge to another hostel. this hotel is one of the worst. they charged us some money extra for taxes. also y really dirty. we found a nail and hair in our sheets and the matress barly can support the weight of a person

I was not impressed. The staff and management I found to be dishonest and untrustworthy. I arrived to be told that they hadn't received my online booking, this despite the fact that I had booked the day before and paid a small deposit online which left my account. They then proceeded to try and jack up the rates. Avoid this place at all cost.

Nice place. Mohommed at reception very helpful and friendly. Trips organised to airport, pyramids etc. a bit pricey compared to other places.
