The hostel itself was fine. It was clean and in a very good location in Old Town. The major problem with this hostel is that it was being run by a boy probably around the age of 14. He obviously did not have the experience needed to run a hostel, including the inability to answer questions or provide help. Directions listed on hostelworld website are very poor. Not sure I would stay here again...

There was a problem with our reservation on arrival (I strongly recommend you call to confirm if you make your reservation online) but was quickly taken care of. The staff is very, very nice, gave us some good advice and was thoroughly helpful. The location could not be better, right in Bascarsija, close to a multitude of good restaurants. The rooms were clean and cute, the toilets and showers as well. Overall, this was a very enjoyable stay and I can recommend this Hostel without hesitation!

Had a lovely stay at the Lion - the people were very friendly and the location couldn't be more central - bang in the centre of the old market place. Would definitely go again... was a nice change from hostels for a bit.

unfortunately the reservation didn´t work out. The Hostel wasn´t able to give me a room, despite reservation per internet, phone calls and emails. The money I paid in advance is also gone. It would be great, if you could repay me the amount of 16,50 €. Thank you in adance K. Krueger
