Too noisy. The bar at the lobby has live music until around 1 am. Noise goes up to the rooms very loudly. Also the noise from other bars in the same street which is the busiest in Yangshuo. Apart from that it was nice to stay there.

A great place to stay. Lisa is very helpfull and joyfull and she makes your day great. The room was very clean and even though there is a bar below the rooms, it was very quite in the room and you could sleep at any time you wanted to.

More like a motel with Hostel prices. Clean, Safe, Great Location and Great food. The location is the best, located right on west street with a good happy hour and cheap beer. Only advice is not to rent the bikes from her, better bikes are down the street!

Despite what some people have said on Hostelworld about Lisa's hostel, we stayed there anyway. And we're damn pleased we did!! Lisa is lovely and for 15yuan a night, "Mao's room" was excellent! Ok its only 4 matresses on the floor but they're comfy and the room is en-suite with toilet and shower and some classic posters!!! Highly recommended and the other rooms we saw were fine. Oh, and the food really is superb (the duck with potato - awesome) and the beers are (as Lisa correctly said) some of the cheapest in town. Stay and enjoy!

lisa's cafe and hotel is not very clean, the staff are nice but i've got the feeling they will always try to say what you want to hear but never deliver on that. like in the show where they said the seats are not too far but actually we were seated almost in the last row about 250 meters from the stage, or the train tickets that i booked more than a week before i arrived but got only the night before the ride, and in different cabins although we travelled as family and asked to be on the same cabin. the thing i was angry at the most was lisa and her staff not being upfront with us but always sneaking around. i an sure that there are far nicer places to stay in yangshou, and if i ever get there again it won't be at lisa's.

On arrival we were shown both the room we booked and another room. The one we booked priced 15rmb per night was advertised as an 8 bed dorm. It was in fact four matresses on the floor of an attic. The staff were not surprised when we took the more expensive room on offer(30rmb). This appeared to be a tactic of the hoatel as we witnessed a new group been shown this room everyday. Tha staff, in particular Lisa pressured us to buy food or drink in the cafe constantly. On one occassion even sending one of her staff after us to tell us to come back and eat in her cafe.
