This is a small guest house rather than a hostel. Beautiful furnished in a historic building and a very handy location, right by the rialto bridge. And surprising for europe, it had a good shower. our room was quite small (which we had expected), but we feel that overall it was excellent value for money.

On their website they say you can pay with a credit card, but in person they say their machine is down for a few days while they switch banks. They have a framed sign on the wall that says their machine is down for a few days. So make sure you have cash.

When I booked the room I received confirmation for 2 beds; however, when we arived at the hotel, only a single double-bed was available.

location of room one was not great, as a commonly used footpath was outside the door. Also, it was by the front door where we could hear people coming and going. Beds were bit hard and pillows were too flat. Staff was very helpful and the place was very clean.

I didn't really consider this a hostel, though they were extremely friendly and the location was awesome. It is more along the lines of a very nice hotel. I highly recommend staying here to anyone. The price was excellent for what it was.
