In a great location and the directions given by David were spot on (although we still managed to get lost - our fault!). David was always smiling and very helpful and the rooms and facilities were excellent. The breakfast brought to our room each morning was the best as it was presented in a cute picnic basket with still warm croissants, and freshly brewed coffee. My only complaint (and it's tiny) was the apartment door was missing a door-knob so not easy to shut (everything else great!). Philip, from Australia ~ 28th Sep 2009

Locanda SS. Giovanni e Paolo was a fantastic place to stay! It was very easy to find the hostel using the direction that had been e-mailed to us. The hostel was clean and comfortable and included a delicious breakfast, but the best part of the hostel is definitely the staff. He was the nicest person we met our entire trip and made our stay so enjoyable. He gave us so many helpful hints and we would definitely return to Locanda SS. Giovanni e Paolo just to see him again! This hotel is fantastic. The rooms have character, the staff is extremely friendly and helpful, and the location is wonderful. The bathrooms are spotless, and the breakfast (included in price) is quite good. If you're willing to pay a little more, it is certainly worth doing so for this hotel. A very good place to stay for a family for one night. The place is definitely part of the Venice's picturesque sight. Marcel, from Switzerland ~ 4th Jul 2009

Beautiful, quaint little hotel set on the side streets of Venice. As with anything in this town, you can walk to anything you want to see within a few minutes. The breakfast in bed was great and they accomodated our early checkout just fine. Jill, from USA ~ 13th Jun 2009

For the price I paid I was not impressed. The hotels at Saint Mark Square were less expensive with better accommodation, beds and a better breakfast as well would let me use the washroom after I checked out, unlike the Lacanda ...... I would never stay there again. Julie Ann, from Canada ~ 12th May 2009

This hostel is pretty good ... people is very kind and you wont have any problem if you stay here... actually when we had to go they showed us the way to the train station we'll never forget that :) This is a cool option Mauricio, from Mexico ~ 9th Mar 2009

David was wonderful. He would help you out any way he could. This is more of a B&B than hostel, but still very cute. Close to St. Mark's Square, not so close to the train station. Make sure you tell them an accurate time for your arrival. David, thank you. Davidson, from USA ~ 8th Jan 2009
