It is a good option if you are gonna stay for ONE or TWO nights, if you are considering this becausw have breakfasts it is not an option, the bkfast is very poor; the showers are ok and the bathrooms are very clean. They have aircondition but the guy in the reception just turn it on 10 min!!! In all the day!! And the temp was more than 36. There are alot of hostels ij MAdrid so if you have more options us this as the last Marco Antoniio, from Mexico ~ 3rd Jul 2009

If you want to chill out that s a good place to stay because they are very strict with regard to the quiet time. At the same time, it does make no sense to have the kitchen and the living room closed at 11pm in a city like Madrid. Staff is variable: some guys are really nice (those from south america of course) and other are almost rude and not open to help you properly. Ricardo, from Brazil ~ 2nd Jul 2009

The Los Amigos Sol Hostel was pretty good overall. First the good stuff. Location and security was great. The staff was friendly, I encountered only one unfriendly person during my 2 nights there, so not bad. The place itself isn't set up for fun, but it didn't matter since you easily meet people and create fun. However, I was told, by people who had done it, that the pub crawl is good. The hostel was clean, never felt dirty, however the floors of the rooms, needs to be swept more. Tanya, from USA ~ 17th May 2009
