the staff was really nice, everyone except the crazy manager, and also, BED BUGS all over our room!!!!! when i asked to do something about it, the manager got angry, and started shouting that it was my fault and it was me who brought the bugs ( yeah right, and every single person in the room was itching because of me). He wasn't nice at all and blamed me for the bugs. Be CAREFUL!!!if i knew about it beforehand id rather payed extra $20 but stayed at a safe place!!!! Olga, from Russia ~ 6th Nov 2009

they offer a whole lot of free extras which is good, staff are very nice, but some one got into the room and looked thru everyones suitcases in our dorm when we were out.....a person in a private room had his laptop stolen.....but other than that, great for money!, free lift to airport and nearby beach. It is nice place. Staff is friendly, rooms are clean. Everything you need to feel good. But the location is not very comfortable if you go somewhere by public transport. And the area seems dangerous. But i liked this place and felt myself safety there. Maria, from Russia ~ 23rd Sep 2009

I felt cheated when I was informed that there is age limit after paying the down payment! However, they replied by email that my reservation is confirmed. I saw no reason for listing the age limit in the condition if they do host people above 30 coz this doesn't make the hostel look "younger". And this confusion caused a bad impression. But may be because of the complaint, I was upgraded to a 4-bed room instead of a 20-bed room upon check in. The dorms are that i stayed in were converted trailers which itself was OK but it had two doors only one of which had a key card lock. the other guests seemed to use more but constantly left unlocked. the security lockers are the pay as you go type and located far from the dorm rooms. While I stayed there there was no champagne toast as their liqueur license had been suspended. the staff wasn't to helpful with directions. but the did have a free shuttle to the bus center. benjamin, from USA ~ 30th Jul 2009

Cheap, clean room that I stayed in. The biggest draw back is that it is so isolated from everything else in LA. Takes a long time on Public transport, or a very expensive cab ride, to get out and enjoy the rest of LA. Nice pool area, diversity of guests. Safe area. Overall not bad. I originally reserved a bed n the dormitory for 2 nights at $15.00 a night, total $30.00- then I saw that it was only for people under 30. I made another reseervation for the hostel next to them not knowing that they were the same. Both were for people under 30 that I did not see until after making the reservations. I telephoned them and cancelled the first reservation. When I arrived I was charged an additional $5.00 a night and do not see where my $3.00 advance reservation was credit Robert, from USA ~ 13th Aug 2009
