Was in a really dodgy area but the free shuttle to public transport centre made it safe to travel. Had really nice atmosphere around the pool and was safe inside the compound. Really good experience and cheap!!

The worst hostel ever, we lived in a 20 bed dorm room, with no air condition. Maybe there was a aircondition, but it did not work. The showers did not work well. I could not recommend this hostel to anyone. And then the staff, they where not kind to you, threated you like garbage. I got the feeling that they just wanted us far away from L.A. Thanks to the hostel we got a very bad impression of L.A. But we are going back, and live in a nother hostel.

I have traveled all over the US and Europe and this hostel was one of the worst. It was so loud all night that I didn't sleep at all. I understand that "party hostels" tend to be louder, but these particular partiers didn't stop all night and were still downing beers when I got around THE NEXT MORNING. Not to mention that it was filthy and the AC was hanging out of the wall and did not work. AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL!

I had read some negative reviews about this place, so I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived. The staff were friendly (although they made me pay extra as they wouldn't accept the online deposit I had already paid through Hostels.com, so i wasn't happy about that). The people staying there were mostly young travellers like myself and friendly. My room, the girls dorm, no. 800 was clean. Though there was only one toilet for all 20 of us in the dorm, so people were often desperate for the toilet whilst people were taking showers! the place was fun. A pool, free popcorn all day. free cookies, free dinner, party cake and champagne. there was a bar. However the hostel is located in an unsafe area and its far from the touristy stuff. So you'd be better staying somewhere nearer. Its a party hostel, so not good for sleep. Come to party or stay elsewhere. Be careful in this area, don't walk around at night.

A Fine hostel for the price, but it is pretty far away from everything, but staff was friendly though, should have been more big lockers though if you have a big pack and you live in dorm room there is only like 4 lockers you can stuff it away in if you are lucky too get one....

Possibly the worst experience of my life. I\'ve never been reduced to tears by a hostel maid before. Dodgey, dodgey area, so far away from everywhere. Some staff are nice, but the majority are just horrible.
