the area was rather plesent and was a 20 minute walk or a 5 minute tram ride away from the old city which was very nice. you would need a map to get from place to place but once you get the hang of it, then everything is easier Kajan, from USA ~ 21st Aug 2009

Close to the train station in the new town. Clean, nice room..but please..wifi should be FREE..get with the times. Little things like that and not having towels in the bathroom for drying hands separate this place from the really good hostels. Would stay here again if passing through Dresden. I think the location is just great with a lot of bars around the corner. The rooms are nicely furnished and the breakfast offers a huge choice. However the bathrooms could be cleaned more often. But the price-quality-relation is just great. Jan, from Germany ~ 25th Feb 2009

The guys in my room were a little sketchy, so that may have affected my opinion a little. The hostel was scary to get to in the dark just because the streets were not well lit. They have towels for a deposit, which is nice. The worst part is that there is no internet. Otherwise the full service kitchen was great, and the staff was helpful.
