“ Wonderful hostel, the building itself is gorgeous and the 4 bed dorms feel cosy and private. It's right at the center of downtown and the staff are all mad to show you a good time. The free breakfasts are the best I've had at a hostel, seriously enamoured with the d.i.y waffles! If you are travelling through San Diego Lucky D's is a great place to start and orientate yourself, I loved it! ”

“ Very nice hostel with a good atmosphere. We had TV in the room, which was a very nice surprise. There is free breakfast, free diners some days of the week, and the staff organizes many activities for guests. The location is also good, since it is about 5 minutes away (or less) from the Gaslamp district. I would say that the only problem in this hostel is that it is quite noisy, since there are many bars just next to it and you can hear the noise from the room. ”

“ Room was clean but it was way too loud on the streets and not very safe to walk around because all of the homeless lives around. Staff was friendly but some of them in daytime and morning were just rude for nothing. I wouldn't stay downtown to sleep but a great location for bars, lots of action! ”

“ This is definitely a party hostel! If you are looking for a cool place that is all about partying and drinking this is your place. The place is decorated very creatively. I being 30 years old probably not the best place for me. The trance music goes on until 11pm and if you want to sleep before that definitely ask to have a pair of the complementary earplugs that they provide at the desk. The beds were comfy but definitely ask for an extra pillow. Parking is complicated but available close by. ”

“ IF YOU ARE A GIRL OR SENSETIVE PERSON DO NOT CHOOSE MIXED DORM. UNFORTUNATLLY LOCATION WAS LITTLE BIT DANGEROUS TO GIRLS. THERE WERE FULL OF HOMELESS NEAR THE HOSTEL EVEN DRUNKN PEOPLE SCREAMED ALL NIGHT LONG. I COULD HEAR THE SIREN SOUNDS EVERY SINGLE DAY. SMELL WAS SUCK REALLY SUCK , I THOUGHT DEAD MOUSE BODY WAS HIDDEN SOME WHERE IN THE ROOM. JUST PRICE AND DISTANCES FROM DESTINATION WAS FINE. VERY DIRTY AND NASTY ATOMOSPHERE. ”
