We got a room in the second house, which was really nice and meant we had our own kitchen and bathroom. Luka is really nice and welcoming, but he took a really long time checking us in and didn't have change for us, so we went back later to get our change but the next morning he thought we didn't pay him! He took our word that we had paid him, but it was a arguement that never should have happened if he didn't take so long checking us in that there was confusion. Paul, from Canada ~ 10th Sep 2009

Loved Luka's lodge! One of the best hostels I've ever stayed at. It is set back a bit from the main drag but after all the eating we did in Hvar I didn't mind the walking. There were a lot of great people staying at this hostel and I loved the outdoor table were everyone seemed to gather at night to eat dinner and drink. Plus the BBQ provided by Luka was amazing! Luka's Lodge is a great choice to anyone staying in Hvar Town. Because its located just 5 minutes from the city center its close to everything but it is quiet and you get fresh air breezes that seem to be missing in the tangled alleyways of the old town. Luka is a great guy. The hostel is fun, clean, and Luka makes sure you have a good time. It rained while I was there but he offered to give us a free tour of the island in his van because of the bad weather. Alex, from USA ~ 23rd Jun 2009
