There was not a single thing that I think they realistically should have provided better service in, and I was particularly impressed by their high quality free breakfasts, daily replacements of towels, super clean bathrooms, and helpful staff! I would highly recommend this place to anyone. ”

- “ The best hostel I've EVER stayed at and I've stayed in LOTS all over North America and Europe. By far the cleanest and safest hostel I've ever stayed at. Fresh towels and soap bar everyday. Amazing helpful and friendly staff (Rob checked me in). Great kitchen for cooking own food and lots of tables to sit at in dining area. Bed didn't squeak at all and each had a personal light for reading. I felt quite comfortable considering I was staying in a room with 15 other people. A+++++++++++++++ ”

- “ One of the best hostel experiences I have ever had. I traveled a lot in Europe and no where did I find accommodations as clean and as fun. The bar/club in the basement is an awesome touch. The location is spot on--right in the middle of the village, Latin Quarter and Old Montreal! Near Berri metro station. Can't wait to go back! For an average $30/night, its a steal. ”

- “ For a hostel in the middle of the gay village, it was uncomfortable heterosexual in culture. Granted I was in a 16-person suite, but there were a lot of loud, obnoxious people who didn't think to lower their volumes when speaking, and generally did not attempt at not being sexist / homophobic / racist. One of the kitchen cleaning staff was unnecessarily rude when I told her I would clean up after myself once she was done cleaning. ”

- “ Great hostel, modern, clean and comfortable. The only negative comment is they have to enforce a lights out rule. My room mates were literally up all night, lights out needs to be by 11.30pm. If they want to stay awake they should have to go out. ”

- “ I was highly impressed with the professional courtesy of M Montreal's staff. They have an underground pub which was quite fun, even during the week :) It is a five minute walk from Berri UQAM station and there are several pharmacies near by where you can buy the toiletries that M doesn't provide (M provided us with towels and soap, which was quite nice). Several nice restaurants nearby too (I recommend Amir Lebanese cuisine). It was also only a stop away from old Montreal. M is a great place! ”

- “ Parking was safe (though 10$CAN extra), the bar was wonderfully convenient and fun (cash-only when I was there, though), and the staff was absolutely amazing! Breakfast was free in the mornings, and well worth getting up early-ish (7-10A) on vacation. As a student travelling solo, I couldn't have chosen a better place for the weekend! ”

- “ Absolutely loved my time here, staff were extremely friendly and helpful doing everything from helping me book cabs, look for my lost phone, and getting red cups for drinks. Rooms were cleaned daily and the brekky's that i made were really good. Definately looking to come back ”

- “ The staff was friendly and helpful. We booked a 16 bed mixed dorm but it was the slower season so we had the room to ourselves. The room had just been cleaned and had linens nicely folded on the beds. There are lockers, but you need your own locks. There is a locked door that separates the sleeping quarters from the rest of the building. Breakfast was good - the muffins and danishes were fresher than you'd find at a continental breakfast at a hotel. Also, the place was very stylish. ”

- “ This hostel is really good. Rooms are clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Great location in the middle of the city, and not expensive compared to the service that is offered. There are some strange people in the street around the hostel but you don't feel unsafe at all. The only bad point is the bar which can make some noise if you are located in one of the rooms of the hostel. ”

- “ All of the staff that I talked to were exceptionally helpful and friendly - one even invited my friend and I out with his friends for the evening. The room and bathroom were clean, which is impressive, considering how much snow/slush/salt we were tracking into the dorm. I really appreciated breakfast (croissants, coffee, toast, waffles, muffins, juice) being included with the already low price I paid. I would definitely stay here again if I came back to Montreal. ”

Friendly staff, nightly events, clean rooms, good food, excellent wi-fi and computers available, and most of all, extremely affordable. I want to come back to Montreal just to stay in this hostel again. ”
