Very friendly and helpful owner. Cool, relaxing pool with waterfall. Very clean, well equipped rooms with warm shower. Good location in the east side of the old city - walking distance to bars, night market.

Very nice place and good value for money. If you can hack the somewhat cold swimming pool then I would fully recommend. The guy who does nothing but Ori Gami is cool bloke

spent a week here and had a great time. the owner Sunny, really makes the place - couldn't be more helpful and cheerful. We also booked a trek through Sunny & had a brilliant day riding an elephant and a bamboo raft etc. Rooms were comfortable and clean, and location was good.

Location excellent and all rooms are tidy and clean. The manager/proprietor, Sunny, is attentive, kind and hospitible. He alone makes this place feel welcoming and a pleasurable place to stay. Because of this we stayed longer than intended. Definately somewhere we would recommend.

I really enjoyed my stay here. I was expecting something quainter from the photos and was a little surprised when I showed up: the rooms themselves are pretty bland and the walls are a little on the thin side, but the furniture is modern and the shower works well and is hot. Also the rooms are spacious and incredibly clean. The big bonus is the owner -- he's great. He's very concerned with how your stay is going and really helpful. I didn't feel like he was trying to nickel & dime us or coerce us into buying a tour. And you can't beat the location (plus his beers are cheaper than everywhere else).

Our stay at MD House was wonderful. Sunny was incredibly helpful. The location is great and the hostel itself is nice.
