  • An absolute delight! It was just like staying in a hotel, only with five other strangers. The shower, sink and toilet were so clean and in great condition, and the bed sheets were soft and good. It also felt a little bit like paradise to have an electricity outlet right next to your bed lamp. The bar and the common area were also nice and cosy, and the staff was very friendly and sweet, helped us out with anything with a smile. I'm definitely gonna stay at a Meininger next time I get the chance!

  • I don't understand why a hotel like this needs to charge for the use of the PCs with internet. I been in many hostels and usually they have free access computers with no limits for the guests.

  • Very friendly staff who were very accomodating. Rooms are clean. The place is a little out of the way from the Amsterdam Centraal which can be costly by taking Sprinters or Intercities.

  • a little more than I hoped to pay for a hostel but I think just the going rate for amsterdam, very clean, very nice, very good service, spacious for a hostel, right off of train and metro station

  • Brilliant location, one minute walk from Sloterdijk station which is a quick trip on sprinter train to Amsterdam Central one station away. Reception staff were excellent. Housekeeping was terrible. Did not provide new toilet paper, provided a hand towel only instead of a proper bath towel. The lifts are horrendously slow. I nearly missed my train to Berlin because I had to wait 12 minutes for a lift to stop on my floor.

  • This is much more that one could expect from a hostel! There's always a good atmosphere (discrete but warm) and the staff kindly gives you all the information you need about transport and tourist questions. Despite you cannot walk anywhere, there is a big hub for buses right 150m from the building and you can easily reach the city center in around 15 minutes - also by night bus. The rooms are clean and the use of the common kitchen is very practical to make your own dishes.
