Easy to get food and fun from its very good location even it's rather far from city center.

Hey there, Thanks for your feedback!! There is a 25 minutes walking-distance to the famous cathedral of Cologne! You are right, this distance sounds really far. But you have different choices. For example, you can take the tram or bus. So you can reach the center within 15 minutes. If you decide to take the walk into the center, just ask at the reception for an interestening way to get there. For example: It is possible to cross the shopping-streets of Cologne or to take a look at nice museums, which are stationed on the direct way! Our hostel is located in another center of Cologne. We are in the student-district. That means for example, you have just 5 minutes to walk to the "Zülpicher Straße", where a lot of restaurants, clubs & bars are. Around our house, there are a lot of supermarkets, where you can find delicious food. You can cook this food in our guest-kitchen for free. Anyway, I hope that you have had a nice stay in our hostel! Als ich aus der Dusche kam stand ein fremder Mann in unserem Zimmer. Die beiden anderen Frauen schliefen noch. Ich frage mich wie er in unser Zimmer kam. Das Zimmer wurde nicht gereinigt... das Bad war recht dreckig. Ich war drei Nächte dort.

Zunächst mal bedanke ich mich bei Ihnen für Ihre Rückmeldung! Obwohl ich mir nicht erklären kann was dort schief gelaufen ist, hätte uns dieser Fehler nicht unterlaufen dürfen! Ich entschuldige mich bei Ihnen im Namen des gesamten Teams! Nichts desto trotz hoffe ich, dass sie neben diesem Vorfall drei angenehme Tage in unserem Hause verbringen konnten! Ich würde mich freuen, Sie ein weiteres mal im MEININGER Hotel Köln begrüßen zu dürfen, um Ihnen ein anderes Bild unseres Hotels zu zeigen =) Bis dahin wünsche ich Ihnen alles Gute ;)

Wouldn't rush here again !! Very dissapointed with my locker getting broken into. One night there I had €120. Next morning I woke up with my locker bust and only €10 in my pocket and no I didn't spend it on drunk and was sober that night. In general Germany is safe but I don't like Koln for some reason!

I am really sorry that this happened to you! But i have to say, that Cologne is as safe as whole Germany. To keep your luggage safe, we offer you lockers in every dormitory. These are big enough to put the suitcase in them. And for your valuable things we can offer you our guest-safe. You can use this one for free. Just come to the reception and ask for it =) By the way... if you do not have a padlock with you, there is no problem. You can rent some at the reception. They are also free of charge! Our night porters check the house a few times the night, so they will find out if there is something strange happening! Our reception is opened 24 hours each day, so if you have any questions or problems, you can always come to the reception!! That means, that you don't have to feel unsafe!!

I actually booked four nights but was told that i had paid for three nights only upon check in. Had to shift room on the fourth day just for the last night stay. Luckily the room was just next to each other.Was wondering what will happened if the hostel was full on that night???

I'm really sure that we would had found a solution for that!! No matter if you had booked for three or four nights, errors are human and everything turned into good ;) If you feel unsure about your reservation or if you have any questions, you can always contact us per mail.
