MEININGER Hotel Vienna City Center in Vienna, Austria

was close to train station but not a great part of town. just arrive in the day and it is fine once you get inside. inside was great with private bathroom and very clean. worth staying here!!! Joshua, from USA ~ 20th Oct 2009

this was a decent hostel. the only thing that made us a little uncomfortable was the luggage storage room. when you dropped off or picked up your luggage all you had to do was ask for the key to the room. you never had to show your room card or anything. it was just a little bit unsettling but otherwise this hostel was fine. rooms are clean and there are lockers in the rooms to lock up personal items. the staff was helpful and friendly. and there is a lot to do in the common areas. Meininger hotel was perfect in every way. From the moment we checked in until we checked out the stuff was there for us and helped us in every way it could. They actually know everything!! Breakfast was exactly what you need to get your day started. And the location was perfect. 2 min from the U station where you could go in a few minutes in every place of Vienna. Excellent hostel. Room (which was ensuite) was comfortable, clean and quiet; shower and toilet were even in separate cubicles in the room. Hostel felt very secure. Guest kitchen was fairly well equipped. Located on a road off a main shopping street, with metro station and large supermarket within spitting distance. Hostellet hadde meget høy standard og rommet var stort og rent. Beliggenheten kunne vært bedre men det ligger nærme t-banen så det er ikke noe stort problem.
