- do not allow to smoke in the public space (reception, internet space, gangway, etc.). In the "café" at least no smoking on the ground floor just allow it on the first floor.

We arrived at 3 pm instead of 1 pm as planned and my reservation was canceled at 2 pm. The staff was kind enough to call another hotel and make a reservation for us. That other place was pretty bad though... I'm a little disappointed - it's hard to plan exactly the arrival time in a foreign city.

I booked a room on the net. Called twice and sent one email to tell my arrival time. My room was gone when I arrived. Everyday they promised the room I booked but it was only 4 days later when I got very angry, I got the room. The location is exellent.

i walked my ass of to the bund, the location itself is great but to far from the main atraction, such as the bund and the french concesion. internet closes at 2, the frigdges whre to small for so many people. but after all i'm not complaining, nice interior!!! 1 or two day's is perfect here!

I never spent enough time there to really experience the place or the 'fun' aspect but from what I saw, I wish I could have. I know for sure that the staff were EXTREMELY friendly and helpful despite me (having had a long,disastrous journey so far),being somewhat'emotional', they made me feel a lot better!
The place is full of character, is clean and in a good location.
I would definately recommend this hostel to the budget traveller.
