booking system leaves a lot to be desired- impossible to book 3 beds in a 4 bed dorm for example.caused the poor man awful hassle. Good atmosphere and location, very laid back. beds were fine and shower was good. would go back. Niall, from Ireland ~ 7th Sep 2009

beds were not the most comfortable, but definitely not uncomfortable. i was only person in dorm so that was nice! not a lot of other people staying at the same time. breakfast is simple but it works. staff was super nice and the suggestion to go to ryan's was spot-on! i had the most memorable experience of my trip in kilkenny. would definitely stay here again. loved the house dogs, too! This was a great place to stay. Not too far from the bus and train station, and about 5 minutes walk to everything else. Hot showers all day. The staff were friendly and helpful. I'm sure I'll be staying here again. Nathan, from USA ~ 29th Aug 2009

It was a really convenient and nice hostel, with a nice kitchen and lounge. The only problem was that when we got there, we were ringing for 10 minutes and finally a girl opened the door for us, she was an employee. She told us that she was leaving and that her colleague was sleeping and that we will be waking up in few minutes. We didn´t like that at all. We were in a scheduled trip and every minute counted.
