The staff are not very friendly.. location is in the center but maybe a bit dangerous area. Security locker is available. Wifi does not work well. Bed and sheets are very dirty but acceptable. Kohta, from Japan ~ 13th Jan 2010

MadHostel is a good place to stay - close to almost everything that you would like to see in Madrid. The price is ok - with breakfast, just a little bit more than toast and jelly. Wi-fi is unstable, only available in the common room - which is closed around 3am until early morning. I would stay again. Mehmet, from Turkey ~ 29th Dec 2009

A bigger and more complete kitchen would be good. Martin, from Scotland ~ 24th Dec 2009

I thought that the security system was tops - the staff helpful and respecting your privacy kitchen could do with more gear etc lovely vibe all round fabulous to come into warm lounge room on freezing day/night great to have excellent washing facilities lift excellent for thos heavy bags - nice to have a hot shower on a cold morning - thanks for being there it would be impossible to see this beautiful city with out a little help from friends in general internet good as well not a problem access Colleen, from Australia ~ 22nd Dec 2009

Bathroom setup was bad, there was no place to put your things in the shower stall so you had to undress outside the stall, sadly the door to the bathroom was positioned so that if the door opened anyone in the hall could see you. Other than that nice, common room a little run down but mostly clean, nice rooms and great lockers with locks provided. Staff very nice. Megan, from USA ~ 9th Dec 2009

The most important things of this hostel are the location because in 5 minutes walking you can reach the city centre, and the security just because the keys for enter or leave luggage are magnetics.I used the hostel just for sleeping and breakfast and I found out that cleanliness is quite good. It sucked! The guy on the reception was soooo cold. He even does not say Hello or Sorry or Thank you. The lady was okay. Rooms were not clean. And the shower just made me sick: you have to push the button for a few second's water!!! The only good thing of this hostel was the logo and the breakfast. Renzhi, from China ~ 3rd Nov 2009

It's not too bad, but the bathrooms concerns me as it doesn't have any hangers or places to put your stuff and the showers that you have to keep on pushing the button for it to work. For another instance I thought the room was too small and difficult to move around. Lucas, from Brazil ~ 6th Oct 2009

Sheets were not clean so bring a sleeping bag just incase! Other than that it was a typical hostel. Georgina, from Australia ~ 7th Sep 2009
