Staying at the Mai Pen Rai Bungalows, you feel like you are being given the opportunity to share in a beautifully hidden piece of paradise. This is the Thailand that I had hoped to discover.. completely unspoilt and natural. It will not suit everyone, but If you want to get off the tourist trail and spend time with nature then this is the place for you. Keep doing what you're doing Fiona & Co. because you're doing it just brilliantly!

If you want to get away from it all on a secluded beach then Mai Pen Rai is heaven. We booked this place for three nights and stayed for five, we didnt want to leave! We absolutely loved the staff! Bao,Nok,Koi so freindly and nice to us,made our stay so memorable Great food Loved the reggae bars relaxed attitude, great place to chill out.Rooms are very basic you are 40 mins drive from nearest town & a torch is handy! We cannot recommend this place enough and hope to visit it again.

I had a wonderful time, the best part of my two weeks in Thailand. So relaxed and peaceful and very nice staff.

Rip you off a bit as so far from the action on Had Rin beach (full moon party beach). They basically knew they could charge what they wanted, and exercised this fact, regularly. Otherwise, a magical location for a chill out on the secluded beach, after the craziness of the night before- would recommend for this reason.

For me this place is better suited to couples and we didn't like the put everything on the bill and pay at the end of your stay system.

A rustic paradise. Beautiful. This is how I remember Koh Phangan 10 years ago. Lulled to sleep by the sound of the waves below my bungalow. No electricity after midnight, who needs it anyway. Thanks Guys!!

This place was amazing. Exactly as they say 'for Nature lovers and Artists" - it is not for those who need shops, mobile phones and hot water. I will definitely be going back again. I loved it. My bungalow on the rocks even had the rocks built into the bed!! Thank you to all of you there. Keep it just as it is guys....

They tried to charge us for an extra night which we didnt stay. Water and internet is 3 times the price as mainland Thailand and nearly twice as much as the other islands! Because the resort is isolated we had no choice but to pay the money for these services!! So we were not happy when we got our bill when we were leaving. There was also 100 baht charge for key which we returned but conveniently they lost just as we were leaving so we also got charged for that as well!

This place is absolutely beautifuL! It is what you imagine when being on a secluded beach!! It is not easy to get to the main town, but if you are up for a relaxing or romantic time.. its perfect!! I would stay there again. I was with two friends and they had a deal on a taxi boat to get to the full moon party, so it worked out!!

We met up with a group of friends here, it was a brilliant place where we were left to our own devices, unhassled by other people. Beautiful place, wild and magic. Would definitely come back. Was sad to leave, and felt we had found one of those places in the world that we would never forget. Thank you to the Mai Pen Rai establishment.
