- “ The location was perfect and the staff amazing!! especially the cleaning lady, and Jenny, and Alex!! The hostel could def. Use some upgrades and Cartegena is hot as he'll but an absolutely amazing city full of culture and beautiful architecture. ”

- “ People at the Hostel are really nice, especially the guys! The lady who cleans the hostel and take care of it is REALLY lovely! The cost-benefit is perfect. It is located at a very nice street, close to everything. You can walk to any place inside the wall city. The rooms are very clean and also the toilets. The atmosphere and commom places are really nice. ”

- “ This hostel rules, and Viviana is the Queen. She worked all 7 days I was there, all day long. She runs the hostel so well, she makes it look easy enough to keep the "Chill Out" vibe going in such a cozy hostel. She smiles all the time, and it's contagious. Alex ran the later shift, and he was positive too - friendly, easy to talk to, and he gave me lots of good advice. Pedro was around to pitch in too, and he was super cool. Costanza was so sweet and worked hard to keep the hostel clean & tidy. ”

- “ Gary and Yina are absolutely fabulous host and hostess, they answered all the questions about places for food, taxi fare to certain locations and gave valuable recommendations for places to visit. They definitely made a difference in my experience in Cartagena! ”

- “ tHIS HOSTEL IS VERY WELL LOCATED AND IN A SAFE AREA. sHORT WALK AND YOU ARE IN THE MAIN AREA OF TOWN WITH BEUTIFUL OLD BUILDINGS AND GREAT EATING PLACES. THE STAFF ARE VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFULL AND GO OUT OF THERE WAY TO HELP.IT HAS A VERY LAID BACK BACK ATMOSPHERE AND PEOPLE GENERALLY SEEM HAPPY TO BE THERE. FACILITIES ARE GOOD, WITH FREE COFFEE AND EXCELLENT BREAKFAST. ”

- “ I attended a destination wedding in Cartagena, and decided to stay in a well-rated hostel. The Makako Chill-Out Hostel was the first hostel I had ever stayed in. As you can see my ratings are in the highest categories. The people who run the hostel, Gabriel and Yina, were helpful and friendly. Their main cleaning lady, Costy, is a doll, too. She keeps up with all of the necessary chores every day. I felt comfortable, and when I asked, I had my sheets changed after 3 days. The hostel has nice common r ”
