Manhattan Inn Hostel in New York City, United States

All around, it's a pretty somewhat okay, decent place to stay. However, the street it's on can be very loud, so it can be difficult to sleep with all the honking, etc.. The bunk beds are also very flimsy. Every time you shift your place in bed, it shakes the other person around, and vice versa. This SUCKS! But everything else is good. Although the room was very clean, on my last night there I got up late at night to use the restroom, and there was a HUGE cockroach on the shower floor... HUGE :((.

We are sorry to hear that. Extermination is done monthly to avoid that kind of problems. Thank you for staying with us.

Nice hostel, only thing that I would suggest is that they get rid of those darn lockers where you have to pay to get into them each time. Either have rentals where you just have to pay a daily fee (not money each time you put stuff in and take things out!). If they really wanted to go the extra mile, have lockers in the rooms where you bring your own lock. But other than that, it was a safe place and very well maintained.
