This hostel is definately more for longterms than the touristbackpacker as there is no staff on site. You ll have to rely on your fellow roommates to give you tips about supermarkets, etc. If you want something for a month, then this would probably be ideal as it is close to Kilburn tubstation and you can make your own food with quite a lot of fridge /freezer space, one big downside though the kitchen and lounge doesnt open until 7 am everyday so if you are commuting early there is nowhere to have your brekkie :( As for being fun, every place is only as fun as you make it, however here they dont really help out with gettting to know each other so if you re shy I wouldnt choose this one :) After almost 2 years of travelling, this is the average longterms hostel with little character.

It's not exactly close to downtown, but the Jubilee line runs fairly consistently, and gets you to almost anywhere with a single transfer. Free Wifi are nice. Don't have to line up for the 2 shared computers to check email. Having to book for a whole week is kind of a pain, but it means that most people staying here are working, or looking for work, and looking to find more permanent housing, so it's a good opportunity to meet people if you're in that situation. Showers are reasonably good. All in all a good place to spend a few weeks, but I can't wait to find my own place.
