The place was a great deal! Most of the staff was nice, but one person did lie to us about whether or not we could take a bus to the glacier to save some money (you can!) The kitchen is nice, but only open during certain hours. Over all a wonderful experience with wonderful people. A few minutes walk from town. They have a very big tv, a pool table, and a telescope.. Lot´s of fun! Peace, Howard and Edwina Vegano Howard, from USA ~ 23rd Jun 2009

This hostel overall was fine, but it had a tendency to be very noisey during the day and at nightime. Please turn the music down a level. Clare, from Ireland ~ 7th Jan 2009

everyone was very nice, but it was a bit expensive for what was included (we left for a hotel that was quite a bit cheaper a few days later, and the only thing it didn't have was Internet). good location. got tired of the Bob Marley music after a few days. Good food. Marjorie, from USA ~ 29th Dec 2008

Recomiendo este hostel, es de los mejores que he estado nunca. Amplios dormitorios con baño y buena ducha. I recommended you highly! Really nice staff, very friendly. Thanks for a FANTASTIC stay!! Irene, from Spain ~ 31st Dec 2008

This is perhaps the best hostel I have ever stayed at. Some people have indicated that it is a little far from the town, but it's not that far, really, and there's not much to 'do' in El Calafate itself, anyway. The staff are very friendly and give advice and help booking tours, etc. The common area is very nice also. Jonathan, from USA ~ 20th Dec 2008

When we arrived, the taxi driver said, "this hostel, no good!"... needless to say, this was not an auspicious beginning to our stay at Marco Polo! However, our initial suspicions proved unfounded. We stayed in an ensuite room (so can't vouch for the dorm style rooms) but it was clean, not too loud, and the staff was generally friendly (though they kept trying to get us to book excursions through them; we found better prices in town). It is a bit of a walk to the town center though, not that t Roberto, from Peru ~ 13th Dec 2008

the staff are a bit ´dirty hippy´ but it is really clean and fun. the communal areas are great but the kitchen is a bit dingey. it is a little out of town and up a hill, so try to look at a map before you decide to walk out in the heat! the location is ok though and the view is fab.
