everyone was very nice, but it was a bit expensive for what was included (we left for a hotel that was quite a bit cheaper a few days later, and the only thing it didn't have was Internet). good location. got tired of the Bob Marley music after a few days. This is perhaps the best hostel I have ever stayed at. Some people have indicated that it is a little far from the town, but it's not that far, really, and there's not much to 'do' in El Calafate itself, anyway. When we arrived, the taxi driver said, "this hostel, no good!"... needless to say, this was not an auspicious beginning to our stay at Marco Polo! However, our initial suspicions proved unfounded. We stayed in an ensuite room (so can't vouch for the dorm style rooms) but it was clean, not too loud, and the staff was generally friendly (though they kept trying to get us to book excursions through them; we found better prices in town).
