Wonderful long term people there. VERY relaxed atmosphere. Close to DART and thus Dublin is only minutes away. Feels like you're staying with family.

I would not recommend Marina House hostel. It was very dirty. The kitchen was grossly unclean, with very smelly refrigerator and highly unsanitary dishwashing practices. Rooms were tiny and cramped, beds very uncomfortable. The location was also not that much quieter than being right in Dublin, as it was on a main street, but getting to and from the city was a hassle. Not worth the extra time and money.

Marina House was the first hostel I have ever stayed at, and I really enjoyed it. We had a slight mixup with the storage locker keys, and Samir, our host, offered to look after some of my valuables himself. You don't find many people like that. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

This is a great hostel if you're looking for a change of scenery from Dublin. Staying on the coast is peaceful and relaxing, and you are only twenty minutes away from the city center on the DART train. The staff is very accomodating, and you'll have a great opportunity to meet travelers from all over the world. Highly recommend!

The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, there were numerous games to keep you and your friends amused in the common-room, there was a friendly and family-like atmosphere between everyone who showed up and the area was very peaceful and scenic.
