Everything was very perfect except of the fact that in the morning there were lots of clouds so we didn't have a chance of viewing the sun. Michael, from Germany ~ 9th Nov 2011

Exzellent Location, Staff at receptionis very helpful with Information about Masada. But the guy at the pool was very annoying, showed me a room where I can change into my bathing suit. And then came after me to see me naked. I would not recommand women to show up at the pool on theirown! Anja, from Germany ~ 12th Oct 2011

Best hostel I ever stayed at. 4 stars William, from USA ~ 6th Sep 2011

this hostel is a well kept, well run place, however on our visit it was over run with soldiers carrying huge machine guns at all times, not good for relaxing as everywhere you looked there was a machine gun in your face. and from talking to people the soldiers are there a lot of the time. ashling, from Ireland ~ 24th Aug 2011

We really liked this place. It was clean, the rooms were nice, the shower was spacious, and everything was orderly. The staff was "ok", a little rude, but its not unexpected when dealing with Israelis. The breakfast was in a room with a stunning food, and the spread was good. I recommend bringing your own water, the stuff they sell is super over priced though. judith, from USA ~ 22nd Aug 2011

In massada there are only this guest house (it is not really a hostel) and the cable car to the ruins of massada. without a car there is nothing you can go to. the dead sea is too far to go by foot. the a/c in the rooms is much too cold, no kitchen and NO free Wi-Fi. but at least the food is not very tasty for that price. it is a guest house by the government an looks like a military building. you need to pass a ceckpoint...very unfriendly! it looks like a wanna-be hotel...bad for backpackers! This brand new hostel is the only one in Massada and has it all : very friendly and helpfull staff, a small sweets and drinks shop (open 8am till 12pm), a great pool (open 8am till 6.30pm) is welcome in the extreme heath up there. The price is more than in an average hostel, but this hostel is more like a hotel in our opinion. Breakfast is great, and you can buy a tasty dinner ticket at reasonable price. Bus stop at the entrance. Large youth groups can be very noisy in the restaurant :-( Gerd, from Belgium ~ 3rd Aug 2011

Location couldn't be better for climbing up to massada ruins. The dinner and breakfast were awesome. Angus, from Scotland ~ 27th May 2011
