Awesome hostel, awesome location. The staff is very helpful, and very friendly. They seem to truly care about those who stay at their hostel, and will go out of their way to help you out with whatever you need. I would highly recommend this to anyone wanting to be in the heart of Sultanahmet. David, from USA ~ 4th Sep 2009

If you are looking for an authentic hostel experience in Istanbul, look no further than the Mavi Guesthouse. It's a fairly simple hostel with everything you could basically need. It's location couldn't be better, you can actually see in full panoramic view the the upper half of the Hagya Sofya (a 3-4 minute walk away from the center of the UNESCO World Heritage City Center). The wonderful owner, Ali, and his very courteous staff, will help you find whatever you need in the city and do their best Frank, from USA ~ 13th Jun 2009

The staff was fantastic. Really, really helpful - all we had to do was ask. And breakfast every morning was great. The hostel itself wasn't the most posh, but the staff more than compensated. I strongly reccommend Mavi Guest House! Sonja, from USA ~ 14th Apr 2009

I loved staying at Mavi. The owner, Ali, was more than accommodating and made us all feel at home. Although the rooftop beds were a bit chilly at night, it was still a fun experience. We loved Istanbul and attribute alot of that to the wonderful hostel experience we had. Robalee, from USA ~ 14th Apr 2009

Cramped bathrooms and community space awkward and small and not easy on the eyes but= a nice warm group of travelers resided there during my stay! Eric, from USA ~ 4th Apr 2009
