The hostel is one of the best I ever stayed in. the stuff is friendly and helpful, the location is great, and the terrace on the rooftop is cool! our room was spacious and clean, we had both, an aircon and a heater. we even had a hairdryer! the hotel is very good option for a very reasonable price! I would definitely stay there next time i'm in Istambul!!! Anna, from Russia ~ 3rd May 2011

We really enjoyed our stay at Mavi Onur! The two guys who run it are extremely helpful and kind, and the only way to get into the hostel is to buzz the bell and have someone answer, so we felt extremely secure. The hostel is only a few rooms, and they are purely functional heater, leaky shower stall, and beds that are essentially cots but the price was great, the location was perfect, and it was really nice to have breakfast provided in the little upstairs dining room. If I ever go back to Ist Kathleen, from USA ~ 3rd Apr 2011

Mavi Onur was a fantastic guesthouse and would recommend to anyone wanting to stay in the Sultanahmet. The location and the staff are great selling points, as we were made to feel very welcome by Iiker and Selchuk. The atmosphere was very friendly due to the staff and its relatively smaller size as a guesthouse as opposed to a hostel. The breakfast was from 8.30 -11.30 (omelette, bread, tea/coffee etc) starting the day off nicely.
