The hostel is actualy an apartment in an old building with creepy elevator, but it has a soul and is under very good care and in perfect location.

This hostel I fully reccomend, the staffs are great and helpfull, its is a small place, very clean, confortable and organized. Met some great people there as well.

very helpful staff, big rooms although thin walls. lots of character.the double ensuite room in the other apartment though doesnt have any lock on the bathroom door so anyone could walk in and see you on the jaxx.(it opens into the kitchen as well) this made us very uncomfortable. a shooting bolt lock would cost nothing and take 2 minutes to install. not really enough shared bathrooms either (one).otherwise good value and would stay here again.

We really enjoyed our stay for four nights at Maxim Doubles. Two of us are used to staying at hostels, and we liked this one very very much, and the other two have never tried a hostel before, but now they think of trying it again, so that I think, is a great guidance for other guests! It was clean, with a perfect location, helpful staff and breakfast included. Could it be much better? I\'d stay there again if I go back to Budapest. /Karolina from Sweden
