Definetely avoid going to this place, the place is run by some guy called Ricky that seems to be the leader of some kind of gang the gets together in the door of the hostel, is very umconfortable to arrive to you hostel and to have 20 very bad looking guys in the door talking, laughing very loud, drinking and smoking who knows what. Then in some moment of the day, girls with a prostitute looking happen to appear and they all together stay in the door of the place, looks very weird and like somet Daniel, from Peru ~ 31st Oct 2009

We laughed at the name at first but found this to be a really lovely place. It's a little on the expensive side, but then again I get the feeling that Cambodia is like that. Nice, clean place with great breakfasts and really friendly staff. Caitlin, from Australia ~ 19th Oct 2009

The staff were amazing and friendly, they helped us out with our Vietnam visas and organised our bus and daily entertainment. Me Mates place was one of the highlights of my quick stay in Phnom Penh. Decent location in a quiet neighborhood. I had arranged for bus station pick-up but they got confused and went to the wrong place, so make sure to specify if you arrange for this service as well. My room was comfortable and clean. They did laundry as well with a machine dryer, which is a rare find in Asia! I booked my onwards bus ticket by myself and got a little bit of attitude for not booking through them (I didn't Amelia, from USA ~ 5th Sep 2009

stayed here with friends for 1 nite..the place is quite close to the riverside, where all the pubs are located..the street is a bit shabby, but the hostel is quite well built..they can arrange a tuk-tuk for u to visit anywhere and everywhere..rooms are spacious..The staff, Tony and Aaron, are very friendly and speak good english..in-house food is quite tasty..the only downside is that the place is more like a budget hotel, than a hostel..so u may not get a chance to interact with fellow backpack Mantavya, from India ~ 14th Jul 2009
