  • Actually, we were very tired about accomadation in Egypt. Luxor, Aswan, hurgada, alexandria in all accomadation we saw many black beetles and poor bed .. So i did'nt expect not too much. But Here in Meramees we had very wonderful time and we could met very nice and kind receptionists. And we could join the tour easily with nice guide thanks to hostel. If you want clean, safe, nice facilities, nice reception, comfortable I recommend here.

  • I arrived in Cairo with no plan whatsoever, and the wonderful staff here (primarily Mustafa) was unbelievably helpful!! He helped me plan out my whole week, and organized trips to Aswan, Luxor and Alexandria for me. The staff here booked everything, including rides to and from the train station, so I didn't have to worry about anything - all I had to do was enjoy myself. I would recommend this hostel to anyone.

  • staff was critical in arranging the trip to luxor and made sure that i made the train with escort at both ends. also took care of the hotel and drivers in luxor. i labeled the facilities as good compared to the rest of cairo. the building it is located in is disturbing by western standards. once again, this is cairo. throw out all your preconceived notions. other hostels were in similar building type. fyi, they do not take credit cards.

  • Just walking distance from the Egyptian museum. The staff are very nice. They can organize drivers for you when you arrive, but think about it before you buy a tour because there is commission on the price.

  • The location was great and the staff was really friendly. They offered us good tour packages for the piramids and we didnt have to give any baksheesh(tips) which is common in Egypt. The bad thing were the cats that lived there, hence the common area was full of hair and fleas. Good hostel

  • Everything was awesome. Except for one thing. Hostel owner need to hang out bigger sign outside so that it would stick out for visitors. This hostel going to be perfect if they improve a thing i said.
