During our stay there one of the rooms was broken into through the window that gives on the inside court. I think closing the inside stair gate would improve security a lots.

We liked the colonial charm that the hostel had. However, we found it difficult to sleep due to some very loud groups. The hostel staff did nothing to quiet down the groups even after 4:30 in the morning. The girls bathroom could have been cleaner.

the private doubles were AWESOME!! We had a room with a nice balcony. The location can't be beat, it's a stone's throw from the Catedral. The communal bathrooms could be cleaned a bit better but weren't bad. The security lockers were quite large. We really enjoyed our stay here, it was a lot quieter than Hostel Catedral. The staff gave great recommendations for food, especially a taco place around the corner...best tacos de bistec EVER!! =D

The hostel was great except when things went wrong. For example my shoes were stolen from the dorm room and when I approached the staff they were unwilling to help. When I asked for an incident report written on letter head so that i could submit it to the police the next morning they said that it is not a service we provide. This is not acceptable, if there was a theft then the hostel should at least provide you with some evidence that the event happened so that you can make an insurance claim.

Clean rooms, excellent location, even the dorm mates are extremely nice! A pity is that some people lack conscience and use the computer for too long. Or they should consider adding more computers... two is not quite enough

The hostel is decent. They have magnetic key cards and they always deactivate. The trek up and down the five flights of stairs in the middle of the night after a trip to the restroom got a bit annoying. Other than that things were good!
