Very nice staff but the location is not that good. Also the price for dorms is high when one takes into account what one gets, the prices at other hostels in Beijing and the location. Ardian, from Norway ~ 4th May 2012

Hostel is nice and clean. First impression of location in not the best, but actually it is good. Safe surroundings. There is not much to do in common area - so atmosphere is so so. Stuff speaks poor English - that makes everything harder. Also I forgot my sunglasses and Ipod, but stuff said they didn't find it... this made me very upset...

This hostel is fantastic.Located close to the subway in central Beijing, it provides an ideal location for exploring the nation's capital. The hostel itself is extremely clean with attentive, English speaking staff(any other reviews which state that the staff cannot speak English are ridiculous). The added bonus of this hostel is the huge courtyard, it's really special and a great place to meet other travellers. 10/10 KRISHAN, from England ~ 11th May 2012

One of the best secrets in Beijing. Very clean, nice rooms, great location. A little hard to find but when you find it, it´s great. My best recomendation in China. Oscar, from Costa Rica ~ 14th Jan 2012

The staff was beyond helpful! Someone helped us with our bags to the main street (7 minute walk away), then grabbed a taxi and told the driver where to go. There's always an English speaker around. Very large courtyard. CLEAN!

Located in the hutong off of "Ghost street", it's unexpectedly large and nice. The desk staff is so kind, and there is usually someone there who can speak English. It seems like a new place. There's a large courtyard in the center, and a bar off of it. The rooms are clean, and although there is a common bathroom/shower for the dorms, it's kept quite clean. There isn't much for social activity, but I think it's surrounded by other things to do (like the city of Beijing). yeon joo, from USA ~ 5th Sep 2011

Nice place very centrally located. It's still very new and thus ongoing construction work (can be a little noisy). The restaurant is not yet opened but there are plenty of restaurants close by. Staff was still a little confused about room prices (they increased prices while I was there) and activities. The dorms were OK. The courtyard is amazing and a really nice place to have a beer or two. Verena, from Germany ~ 15th Sep 2011

Quite difficult to find at first but 10mn from Dongzhimen station by walking. Clean and quiet (maybe too quiet would say some), staff very helpful. The courtyard is nice for relaxing. Wifi poor in the room, lack of plugs in the rooms. Claire, from France ~ 27th Jul 2011

Ming's Courtyard is a wonderfully clean and comfortable hostel, in a nice Hutong, with good and cheap food in stalls just around the corner. We were going to stay 3 days, but stayed 8 instead. Real toilets, toilet-paper and soap, as well as nice staff and a nice yard to relax in. Jens, from Denmark ~ 5th Aug 2011
