Friendly place We made dumplings and ate with the staff. They also helped us with bus-tickets and hostelbooking for next destination.

Hostel is a bit out of town, take a 10min bus or taxi ride from Dali. During the night very quiet, which was excellent. No breakfast available but rooms very nice, spacious and clean.
This is a great hostel if you want to get away from the tourist area. It is quiet but only 10 minutes from the city by bus. The staff were really helpful and courteous. Rooms are very comfortable. The only downfall was the lack of hot water.

it is a chinese hotel with a couple of dorm rooms. it's exceptionally clean and a great location for the lake. staff are extremely helpful. heated blankets (including on dorm beds) makes it very comfortable in winter.

Great place to stay. The staff were extremely helpful and accomadating. I would advise future travelers to stay there.
Although out of the Old City and near the Lake it was easy to get into town on the bus. It was so peaceful out there and near good restaurants. Very nice room, clean and with heated mattress pad. Great for cold winter nights.
The rooster in the neighborhood will wake you up a bit too early from 5:00am.
