The location, bathrooms and architecture were great! The beds were just spring coils, very uncomfortable. The staff was indifferent and not very helpful, unless you are insistant. Nice setting with koi ponds in the common area. Comfy beds with individual night light & lockers. Hostel located opposite the Marriot Hotel in People's Square. Bring extra cash for deposit (100Y). Recommended. Muhammad, from Malaysia ~ 25th Apr 2009

The hostel was excellent with a nice cafe/bar and nice surroundings. It was really easy to go to the center of Shanghai from the hostel and i was really pleased with private room I stayed in.
