The rooms were a little too hot! But otherwise a great place to stay!

While the hostel is located close to the train station, that is about all it has going for it. We booked rooms in a mixed dorm but upon arrival were informed that men and women were separated and that the womens dorm room door had no lock. After explaining in Chinese that this was unacceptable, they did give us a private room for the same price, but it was quite dirty.

It's not a real youth hostel, it's a cheap hotel. There isn't commun room or bar, not breakfast... but It's not precise on the web site... Very disappointed!!! and unhappy!

Location is close to the train station but out of the way for the city centre (need to catch cab/bus). More like a hotel than a hostel, lacking in a bit of character although that could be because of the lack of internationals during low season. Security is also a bit hum-ho with questionable key locks (very simple dog-tag style keys).

There was no sign outside to indicate to foreigners that it was a hostel which made finding it a bit difficult. The staff were fantastic, helping us get transportation etc. but the hostel was more of a hotel, a bit dirty and run down

This was a hotel, not a hostel, no common room, no mingling

The best place to stay in Shanghai on a budget

They only have one 10 bed dorm and no 6 bed like you can book online. The only place to stay in Luoyang, so it´s hard to get around it.

different size of dormitory can be a good idea. Sleepers should have dormitory keys.

Not very clean and there is only one dorm which is large (10 beds). Staff nice. DON'T BUY THEIR TRIP TO SHAOLIN. It stops several times and they try to sell you all sorts of useless stuff.
