Very nice place to stay, although a bit of a walk from the centre.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Minshuku Narusawa Lodge!!! Kiyoko was so friendly and welcoming to us, despite her lack of English. We loved the simple, cozy and comfortable traditional Japanese-style rooms with tatami mats and low beds. Plus, there is a delicious variety of cookies and biscuits to accompany your coffee or tea each morning!! I would highly recommend this Lodge, its owner and this lovely, scenic and peaceful town.

The family that run the lodge are so nice, probably the best hostel (not really a hostel) ive stayed at, through my time in Japan.

A cute, large house transformed into a small lodge with a lot character. Very safe and clean. The public bath is nice and there is a commons room with a large TV and many movies (mostly in English with Japansese Dub). The home prepared meals are fantastic, defenitely reserve one as the lodge-owner's cooking is among the best in the city. Service was nice; the manager complementarily did our laundary. The only problem I found was that the lodge was 20-minute walk to a very expensive Nikko-bus and any resturants were at least 15 minute walking from the lodge.

The lady who ran this lodge is lovely, very friendly and asked us to treat the place like our own home! Highly recommend this place to everyone!
