It's not a hostel, just Alex is renting his flat. While hosts are in, then he and his wife are living in his parents' house. It's their flat. You can see, how people are living. Location in very suburb, but don't be afraid, in Belarus doesn't exist criminality. Good choice for travelers, which wants to know the real country and life of common people. If you like to be a snob, go to the center.

Ummmmm, where to start?! Alexandr is, as other reviews have said, very friendly and he did turn up at the station to meet us, but this really is not a hostel at all. It\'s not even a homestay. Located at the end of the metro line in the middle of a high-rise housing estate, Minsk Accommodation was literally just a flat which we were given the keys to. In the end we decided to book a hotel in the centre of town (definitely worth it for commuting purposes / safety etc.) and it wasn\'t overly pricey. A great place if you want to an authentic experience of life in a Minsk housing estate, but otherwise to be avoided. Stay in the centre if you only have a day or two!

Alexandr (the guy you stay with) is great. he speaks excellent english and is very helpful. You stay in a real minsk-ers apartment which is great, you really get a feel for the place. location is on the last metro stop north, but you get a real insight into life in belarus.

Wow. What an experience. You stay in a real Belarusian flat, which will mean the location's crap, but you'll be living like a real Minsk-er. Highly highly recommended. Besides, it's cheaper than a hotel. Just watch for registration.

Alexandr can give you good accomodation for a reasonable price all around Minsk, something that you will probably not find in your Lonely Planet or on the net, since the only thing you will find are expensive and mostely worthless hotels.

In this place you will stay in a house of belarus family. They will rent you a room. It was a great experience. I recomend it.

According the information on hostels.com it looked like room in normal hostel. In Minsk we realized that it is just a small 1-room-private-flat in unmaintained block of flats. This flat belongs to one Belarusian guy at the age of around 25 who lives there, and when some foreigners come he move to his parents flat and this his own flat he lets to tourists. So we have whole his flat only for us including kitchen, WC and shower. We order 3 beds, but unfortunately there were only 2 beds. The 3rd "bad" was only an uncomfortable deck-chair. Therefore in fact we (3 people) slept only in 2 beds. The flat is on the edge of Minsk City in urban area full of unbelievable big (titanic) block of flats. The way from the center of city took around 30 minutes and moving in the night in this part of Minsk can not be recommended. Podle informací na interntetu jsme se domnívali, že jsme si rezervovali pokoj v hostelu. Na místě jsme ovšem zjistili, že se jedná o byt v jednom velmi starém a neudržovaném paneláku. K dispozici jsme dostali celý byt - včetně kuchyně. Pokoj bohužel není 3-lůžkový, jsou tam jen dvě místa k přespání a majitel v případě potřeby rozloží skládací lehátko, ke kterému vám ale nedá ložní prádlo. Nejhorší na tom všem je poloha bytu - cesta z centra trvá cca půl hodiny a cesta nočním sídlištěm může být opravdu silný zážitek.
