We had an excellent stay. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The pick-up service from the train station was really helpful. Hope to come back in the future!

this is the best deal you will ever find. the rooms are large and spacious with impeccable tatami mats and comfy futons. there is air conditioning, a tv and a coffee table with a tea set ready for you. there are are also yukatas, towels and toothbrushes in the cupboards for your use. finally, the shared bath is absolutely wonderful. the showering area is generous and comes with a selection of shower gels, shampoos and conditioners. then you melt into a warm bath, quite deep, of coloured purple and scented water ahhhh. plus the cost was only 35 CAD per person for a twin private room when i went at the end of may. i would definitely come again and wished i had stayed longer. the owners are also wonderful people. when we were about to head out to the nikko shrines, he asked us to wait while he checked the internet for the weather in case we should bring one of his umbrellas.

Super nice family. You should definitely get the Dinner deal as it's worth the extra charge and you'll get the real japanese experience. Note the you'll sleep on a futon:-D

The hotel was beautiful and the innkeepers were extremely kind and accomodating. Downtown is about a 15 minute walk, but it is worth it. Minsyuku Rindo-no-ie has been our favorite place to stay in a trip over several asian countries!
