Convenient for centre of Hermanus but this is it's only selling point. This place was awful. Broken fixings, dirty, prison like private room. Bathroom was horrible and you could smell sewage coming from toiler. Only mananged to stay one night. The price is a completed rip-off. The current owners just seems to be more interested in drinking and smoking in the bar with their friends.

We did not enjoy our stay here....we had difficulties with the staff regarding price (and they didn't give us our discount with our booked shark dives). It was loud at night...the bar was open past 2 and there was a hoard of bikers outside our window. They are NOT self catering as advertised. The bathroom was dirty (we had a double room with our own bathroom/shower). They recently changed management...I wonder if this is why it was not up to par. I would not stay there again.

Good location in the centre. Clean and bright accommodation. On arrival the response was not very welcoming. During the night someone kept ringing the doorbell and moaning - apparently there is not a member of staff on site as it was never answered. I would still recommend it due to the location and cleanliness.
Moby's is the best hostel I've stayed in, in South Africa. The location is excellent as is the atmosphere and friendly professionalism shown by the staff. I will definitely be coming back here.
