  • For its price, this hostel was a great deal. The owner was very helpful and kind. He also made us a pasta dinner, which was a nice surprise after a long day. We enjoyed chatting with some girls from France and Italy.

  • Location is extremely difficult to find. No friendly staff over there. No deposit is given. He told us Hostels.com should give us back the deposit(not his hostels). Very unsecure environment. Toooooo nosiy to fall asleep. The space is TOOOOO narrow!!!!! The kitchen is very dirty!!!!

  • You truly get what you pay for, and in the case of the Mona Lisa Hostel, you're not receiving much and you're not paying much. The bathrooms are filthy and never cleaned. The lockout hours are inconvenient and strange (from 11am to 4pm). The staff lives in the hostel so they use that time to rest and clean. The hostel is really a converted apartment, and navigates like one, so the hallways are too cramped for the population, and there's too many people per bathroom. Would not recommend.

  • Its hard to find value for money in Rome for hostels. If I remember correctly there were only 2 bathrooms for many people. I'm glad we only had to stay there for one night, I would not have wanted to stay here for longer. There wasn't anything dire or horrible about the hostel, it just wouldn't be ideal to stay for a while. It's on one of the bigger streets and about 10 minutes away from the train station by foot
