Good location at the bottom of Mt Ulriken. Regular bus service into Bergen. The room was somewhat cramped and got very hot at night. Breakfast was excellent, staff friendly and helpful. John, from England ~ 20th Aug 2009

Located a bit out of the city which became expensive to travel between. Rooms and facilities were clean. Ive been to 30+ hostels and this place has THE best breakfast Ive ever come upon, with a spread of everything possible Alicja, from Canada ~ 4th Aug 2009

Good breakfest and a great view of the city right behind the patio in the back! Very easy to get to and from the city with a bus stop located very close. Bradley, from USA ~ 8th Jun 2009

Our stay at the Montana was great, the staff, the facility, the location we're all excellent with the only one exception being the shower drain was clogged and would back up. Staff was notified and the issue was turned over to the next day staff which was misunderstood as being the sink drain, so it never got addressed properly. I'm sure this was an isolated incident, because the professionalism at the Montana was outstanding. MIKE, from USA ~ 26th May 2009

Great hostel! Very clean, breakfast was excellent with lots of options, and some awesome hiking trails very close by. A little far from the city center, but the view that this place offers is totally worth it, and the bus stop is very close. Katelynn, from Canada ~ 19th May 2009

Take bus 31, exit Montana. ASK the driver to tell you because there is NO sign or announcement. After you exit, take the first left and walk up the hill. Go past a post office and you'll see a white building on left. No lighted sign so it was difficult for me to find. Hope nobody else gets stuck at night in snow like I was. Everything else was great. Clean, not much fun though. Wi-fi had weak reception in room. Sean, from USA ~ 16th Dec 2008
