- “ "The balance of US$504.00 (€404.95) is payable when you arrive at the property." This was written on my booking. But at the hostel they wanted 640 and then the so called "boss" jelled me at the telephone and did not get me any explanations, only insulted me. Of course I hanged up his call. He called back to the hotel and warn them, if they dont cancel my booking, they lose their jobs. So there I was at 11 pm without booking, after 18 hour flight. Also the room and hotel wasnt as described. ”

- “ We have booked a Deluxe 4 Bed Private Ensuite from 13th to 17th of December, 2012. On website they promised to have 2 qeen beds, but instead we had small and broked beds. Tile was falling in a bathroom, a closet was broken, and NO INTERNET CONNECTION AT ALL. A girl on reception promised to fix it but never did. We had no connection for 5 days and could not call to our family. I would never book a room there again. Waiste of money. ”

- “ I was super impressed by Morningside Inn. Amazing location: it's walking distance to Central Park and in a cool old building complete with fire escape that doubles as a balcony for some lucky rooms. Overall great value for an incredibly low price. Only small issue was that the wifi only worked in the basement lounge -- otherwise absolutely no complaints. Room and bathrooms were clean, staff were very helpful, and it was an enjoyable stay overall. ”

- “ Good evening .I\'ve contacted you a few days, regarding a reservation on the Morningside inn hotel in NYC. You said the manager of the hotel confirmed my reservation and it was everything ok, but when i arrived there, the lobby\'s ladie said that was a leak on my room, and i\'ll had to find another place. Any emails or phone calls about it was made.So, i asked her about the $50,00 dollars i\'ve paid already. She said that i\'ve paid for you and she couldn\'t refund me. So, i want my money back ”

- “ Terrible staff and check-in!!! They can cancel your reservation for no reason and send you to another hostel if you check-in a bit late, and neither allow you check-in a bit early than 2pm, damn!! ”

- “ The shower handle on the shower was missing a screw and so feel off at the slightest bump. It also made it very difficult to adjust the water in the shower. The only sink lacked a mirror above it, meaning I had to go between the mirror on the dresser and the sink to shave. The 13" flat screen TV was inexplicably mounted 6.5 feet up the way making it difficult to view unless you were standing. And the door frame to the room was so crooked you could see out the side of the door at the bottom. ”

- “ Was pleasantly surprised by how nice this place was. In a safe neighbourhood and only 2 minute walk from subway. Definitely would recommend it again. Very good value for money. Only issue was Wifi which is sporadic in the room and had to go down to reception to get a decent signal otherwise very impressed by everything else. ”

- “ The room was great for that price! Very clean with good AC, clean linen, clean towels and cable TV. The staff was helpful too - available for 24 hours which is great if you come back late from your walk around the city. It's located close to subway, which is awesome too! Definitely recommend for those who want to keep within the budget but also want to leave with pleasant impression from the place! ”

- “ The staff is very disorganized, the wifi is very bad, they lack of touch with tourists, and they're constantly avoiding any type of eye contact with clients. They don't advise on any tourist information and can hear them swearing from time to time. The basement smells terrible and the elevator is very small. Location is great, and the room was very clean, it had AC, a small and useful fridge, and the bathroom was inside the room, it also had a large closet. ”

- “ Generally: Good value for money. But we recommend to reconfirm the booking with the hotel some days before you arrive!! At our arrival, apparently our reservation was not in their system, and there were no free rooms available! The receptionist organized a room for 2 nights in the "NEW EBONY HOTEL" nearby. That was the dirtiest and most disgusting "hotel" we have ever seen!! When we came back, the boss of Morningside Inn apologized a 1000 times and made our stay a good time from then on. ”

- “ It would be nice if the amount charged online matched what you have to pay when you arrive. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was bigger and nicer than I expected. We had a refrigerator, TV, desk, and fresh towels everyday. The bathroom was really small, but there were hardly any people on our floor, so that wasn't a problem. Didn't see any bugs and had no trouble with anything getting stolen. I would stay there again- good value for the money. ”
