They don't read mails and do not speak English. We came later than specified on the hostels.com homepage while booking and that caused a huge problem (although we had written an email!!). this was not a nice welcome. but in the end we got our two beds. location and security really good, all in all recommended! Nice quiet little place to stay. A bit hard to find but walking distance from some of the sights. Staff did speak much English but were very, very friendly - kind of like staying with distant family. Good, clean, spacious bathrooms and fairly decent sized rooms - no air con though or fans and Madrid gets pretty warm in summer. Kitchen just has a fridge, and microwave if you´re planning on cooking in house. Nothing really to do in the hostel but plenty in the area. Nice place to stay f Megan, from Australia ~ 21st Jul 2009

Good location to access but too noise to sleep. Also weak water pressure. Enough space in the rooms. Joon Sang, from South Korea ~ 9th Jul 2009

Sin dudarlo me quedaria nuevamente en este hostel. No es recomendable para aquellos que quieran ruido y fiesta, es un lugar tranquilo, limpio y comodo. Claudia, from Argentina ~ 14th Jun 2009

My group of three females booked for three nights in a five-person mixed dorm. We were told upon check-in that we would be placed in one room for two nights and another for the last night. The switch wasn't horrible but it seemed a waste of my time as we moved from one five-person mixed dorm to another. Other than that the place was great, breakfast was standard: cereal, toast, coffee, orange juice and a mini cake loaf; rooms were clean and the hostel was in a very good location. Our only problem was that the room was extremely noisy, even with closed windows it was impossible to have a proper sleep. All the rooms are facing the busy road. So prepare do have ear plugs with you. Otherwise staff very helpfull, place is safe and clean. Eszter, from Hungary ~ 7th Apr 2009
