There are no locks on the doors, and though this shouldn't matter in such an isolated location, I hate to say but I think about R400 went missing from my wallet while I stayed there, though I cannot prove it was actually taken at the hostel. Other than that it was nice, and the staff were helpful.

A great hostel, especially for anyone flying into the Airport. It's like staying w/ your aunt and uncle, and in a really great house too. Highly recommended!

It's far from Joburg, but the daytrip to see the Apartheid museum and Soweto is about all you want to see in Joburg anyway. Out in the country I felt safe locked in the compound with gates and dogs, and the people there were friendly and helpful.

We booked a room with private bathroom but the shower didn't work as it should. There was no offer of another room wiith private bathroom, and also no offer of discount on the price. Unpersonal. The beds are bad. We had to go to the airport in the morning. They said it was 40 minutes drive, and we had to leave early because they say it's a long drive to the airport It doesn't look very professional if they first have to go to the petrolstation what cost at least 10 minutes more. They should have get the gas before if they want to look professional like a taxi.
